Rasam - a typical south indian curry

My sister's cooking have often made me go yucckkk....But sometimes her curries are just so awesome that I could never stop eating... So here's the recipe of her fab rasam that she made yesterday



INGREDIENTS

Oil
Mustard
Chilli Flakes
Curryleaves
Garlic - 5 to 6 cloves
Tomato - 4
Rasam powder - 2 tbsp
Tamarind paste
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Salt


THE MAKING

  • Soak tamarind paste in a bowl of water and leave it aside for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan,add mustard,chilli flakes and curry leaves
  • Add crushed garlic and cook until it becomes slight golden brown in colour
  • Now add turmeric powder,finely chopped tomato and salt.
  • Put the lid on and let the tomato get properly cooked.
  • Add the tamarind water and when bubbles appear in your curry..Add the rasam powder.
  • Cook for 2 minutes...
  • Serve with steamed rice.
