Stuffed Parata.....

Paratha's - They just make every dinner special....No matter what curry you make, the perfect staple for it could only be a paratha...The most famous Indian bread that's available throughout the world..So yesterday I planned of making my very own stuffed parathas...Than the normal parathas, stuffed ones taste obviously thousand times rich and there's no need to make a curry... ;)

So I used my aunt's recipe...So here it goes

Ingredients :

For dough
Wheat flour
Hot water
Salt
Oil

For stuffing
Boiled mashed potatoes
Mozzarella Cheese
Paneer ( Cottage Cheese) grated
Finely chopped onions
Garam masala
Salt
Lemon Juice

The Making :
  • In a bowl, mix in flour, hot water, salt, oil and knead the dough and keep it aside.
  • In another bowl mix in,boiled mashed potatoes, cheese, paneer, onions, garam masala, salt and lemon juice.Mix throughly.
  • Make equal sized balls out of the dough and stuffing.
  • Now roll the dough to somewhat a circle of diameter = 10cm. (Sorry for the maths)
  • Place the stuffing inside and close the dough in such a way that it the dough now has the stuffing inside it.
  • Roll the dough nicely now so that your parata gets the desired shape. And the stuffing has now flattened well.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the parathas. Serve with raita.

Tips :

If you want your dough to be more soft add hot ghee or hot oil.You can also add half a banana like my sister does :D

If you want the stuffing to be more spicy, add chilli flakes, chilli sauce or crushed pepper..
